New Haircut-ness November 27, 2007

I had not had a haircut since I got home in June. My hair grows at a decent rate too, so it was shoulder length. I got some money from Grandma and I went into the Salon today on break and got it cut. Pretty much what I had in June. I just showered and washed then styled it. It’s really cute and I am very happy with the new ‘do.
Right after it was cut, I have a bit more body when I style it!

Ok, so the guy on the podcast has said this every single episode and I do love his podcast so I’ll do as he says and mention it on my blog… The Irish and Celtic Music Podcast is great. I know several people who read this blog like Celtic Music. I personally love it. You can find the podcast on iTunes, or at celticmusicpodcast.com. Like all podcasts it is completely free. It’s on the top 50 list (might be higher now) so it’s really easy to find on the iTunes store. The music is great and I have been known to randomly start dancing around the kitchen listening to it. Since I have my iPod on this does tend to scare my housemates. My favorite episode is the best of 2006, “Weave the Yarn” and “Mordrid’s Lullaby” are excellent songs. Ok so that was my sell for that podcast.

The Meeting House at Dawn
My spring break plans are coming together! I am so excited this will be a great month. First I leave the day after classes end and I am going to Paris with my friend, Diane. Diane is among the many French students studying here at Sussex. Her family lives outside of Paris and I’ll be staying with them for a week. I just bought my ticket and I psyched beyond all else. After that I have three days off of traveling and then my mom, Larry, and Grandma Jeanne come to visit. We’re gonna travel a bit here in England while they are here. They leave and the next morning my dad arrives at Heathrow so I get to battle the London Underground during weekday morning rush hour to go meet him. 
We’re going to see a bit of England before my dad and I catch a cheap flight somewhere. Probably Spain and Portugal. After a winter in Oregon my dad wants sun. I on the other hand have been living in Sussex so I think I’ve seen more sun than rain. And I will return to England in time for the start of summer term (what we call spring term in Oregon) at US.

This is me at Stonehenge.
I’m currently 4 months in to my 9 months at University of Sussex! It’s gone so quickly so far. Tonight it seems like it’s the coldest it’s been this entire freakish winter and I’m sitting in a computer lab freezing my butt off. So no more for now.
