I love The Sims 2. It is my friend. A friend I really should not be seeing anytime before a midterm. You see once I agree to hang out with the Sims it becomes needy. They’ll start popping up their little pixelated heads and demanding more and more time. Pretty soon I spend all evening with them and the better part of the next day. When I have a midterm on Tuesday this is a friend, distracting, annoying and altogether kinda slow and frustrating to be around, should not be hanging out with me. So why, oh, WHY did I put in that disk? Stupid stupid girl.

Ok. You’ve seen the ad. There are millions of viruses and bacteria in your toilet. And your brush and flushing (can we assume you do use some toilet cleaner too?) don’t kill them. This disinfecting toilet cleaner gets all the way to the S-bend. Ok so here’s my question. Do I really need my toilet to be disinfected. If I clean it on a regular basis, and I flush then can we say my toilet is good enough. My dogs don’t drink out of my toilet (partly becuase they live with my mom, but you get it). And I know I don’t do anything with my toilet beyond its intended use. I am a fan of disinfectant. Lysol is my kitchen’s friend. I do use a cleaner with bleach for my shower, because there is warm water and I don’t want something nasty growing in my tub where I take my baths. But my toilet? Do I really need my toilet to be disinfected???

I haven’t been good. Last night instead of actually doing any work I watched Ugly Betty online and went out with Kristin and Justin. I have a midterm at noon. I am doing well in the class, so not so worried. But I did forget to do a journal entry for my other business class, the one I’m sitting in right now. If I put my mind to everything then I’ll be able to get caught up and get myself out of this rut. Because that’s where I am. I’m in a rut. My flat is is disaster. I have very little clean clothes right now. I have a back log of homework and my grades will begin to show it very soon unless I do something. Today I am allowing myself one hour of TV (Pushing Daisies, I love that show and I have to let myself watch it). Kristin and I also had planned this week to work out at 7 am. I am not good at getting up early. I need my sleep, I love my bed. It is my friend. The elliptical machine… not so much. Probably should try to find another time. I really do want to get back on track. I have 2 loads of laundry to do, an Autocad drawing, clean my kitchen, MATH HOMEWORK (must get some of it done!), start ops plan, vacuum my room. I just want to keep myself doing something productive. Oh yeah, and I need a second job. Crap.

Tonight at Chapter I agreed to run for secretary for UGC. No one else was and Katie was asking for someone… Not like I’m doing anything for the sorority right now. So there goes my Wednesday nights. I don’t do anything useful with my Wednesday nights as it is. But I still feel like I’s a bit of a sucker for agreeing to. I’m sure it’ll be worth while…

This morning when I got up at 6 am I saw a text from Kristin that she wouldn’t be able to make the 7 am work-out. So needless to say I reset my alarm and went back to sleep. Managed to screw that up and I fell back asleep. By the time I woke up it was 8:50. No way I was making it to math class. I had to skip. But I managed to get to my first business class in time. So now I’m sitting here in Entrepreneurship. Actually really easy to pay attention while doing this… Sad, no?

Decided to move to wordpress. So here’s all the journals. Just a disclaimer. One of the journals was specifically about weight loss efforts. I am not obsessed with my weight. The journal entries do not show an accurate view of me or my life. Just the frustrations and trials of one very narrow topic. I will probably be starting up again on trying to lose some weight again sometime soon. I do an ok job maintaining once I lose so I just have to focus on actually losing weight.
In conclusion, I hope whoever reads this enjoys the wonderfulness of my blogs and is entertained by the adventures of an American girl living in another culture and her return home.
Aristotle… dead or alive October 22, 2007

So, I have this beta fish. His name is Aristotle. He is about 2 years old. Ripe old age for any fish, in my opinion. Little Aristotle hasn’t been doing so well. Not quite his swimming self. Actually there has been a whole lot less swimming and a whole lot of questionable floating near the bottom of the tank. Fairly sure he was dead this morning. Then I saw him swim around. And then he was dead again. Is this fish dead? And if not, how long does my companion have?
